Investigations into the Rock Dynamic Response under Blasting Load by an Improved DDA Approach

چکیده

Evaluation of blasting-induced rock damage and fragmentation is very important for safety control construction in the jointed mass. The discontinuous numerical models are commonly applied due to advantages modeling treating discontinuities. In this paper, fracturing algorithm rate dependent strength law incorporated into deformation analysis (DDA) study wave propagation phenomena dynamic problems. By reproducing Hopkinson pressure bar tests under different loading rates, improved method validated be capable solving failure problem. Finally, taking Xiucun tunnel as an example, its process action explosive simulated, some features captured. addition, explosion induced particle vibration surrounding studied. reasonable simulation results indicate that modified DDA can effectively model stress joint growth blasting load.

An Analytical Solution on Size Dependent Longitudinal Dynamic Response of SWCNT Under Axial Moving Harmonic Load

The main purposes of the present work are devoted to the investigation of the free axial vibration, as well as the time-dependent and forced axial vibration of a SWCNT subjected to a moving load. The governing equation is derived through using Hamilton's principle. Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory has been utilized to analyze the nonlocal behaviors of SWCNT. A Galerkin method based on a clo...

Analytical Study of Dynamic Response of Railway on Partial Elastic Foundation under Travelling Accelerating Concentrated Load

The dynamic response of the railway under accelerated moving load using Dynamic Green Function is presented in this paper. For this purpose, an exact and direct modeling technique is introduced for the railway modeling as the damped Euler-Bernoulli beam on the partial Winkler foundation with arbitrary boundary conditions subjected to the moving load. The effects of the elastic coefficient of Wi...

An Improved Under-Frequency Load Shedding Scheme in Distribution Networks with Distributed Generation

When a distribution network consisting of Distributed Generations (DGs) is disconnected from upstream network, the system may be exposed to severe power imbalance. In order to prevent the damage of power plants, frequency relays operate and remove DGs from the network. In contrast to traditional methods, the main objective in new methods is to keep DG units in service in the islanded distributi...

Experimental Investigations into the Collapse of Simple and Reinforced Thin-Walled Channel Beams under Bending Loads

In this paper, collapse behavior of simple and reinforced thin-walled channel- section beams, subjected to three- point bending, is investigated. Many simple channel- section beams of different geometry and some reinforced ones were tested, and their strengths after collapse were obtained thoroughly. Since the available theories in this area are complicated and little attention has been paid to...
